Hello hello.
What this blog is all about is finding new ways to push illustrators to new and interesting places. It's all about keeping artists sharp. As artists we all have our own distinct viewpoints and ideas and I think it would be interesting to see how that translates given a certain kind of subject matter. Every month a new movie will be selected for illustrating. At the end of the month the finished pieces will be posted here.
There are no set rules for how one goes about illustrating these movies. The finished pieces could range from posters to comics, spot illustrations to concept designs. Anything and everything is fair game.
And that brings me to project 1. I figured I'd start with a fun one: Star Wars.
